We use locally produced ingredients throughout our dishes where possible. Our kitchen team has worked hard to produce our menu, which is guaranteed to have something for everyone. We always ensure the food we produce, not only tastes delicious, but is presented perfectly. We are a real ale pub and have all the latest seasonal ales supplied by the Hall and Woodhouse brewery.

Main Menu
Our menu includes all the popular classics you’d expect – from our Beer Battered Cod to our Homemade Steak & Ale Pie. We also offer a selection of burgers and salads. You’ll find snacks on our main menu, with a range of sandwiches on offer and a great selection of vegetarian options, from tasty Stuffed Peppers, to Creamy Mushroom Linguine.

Children’s Menu
For our smaller member of the group, we have the popular options like Chicken Nuggets and Fish fingers and we also offer a Pasta dish and a healthy option of Chicken with gravy, fresh vegetables and potatoes. Older children may like to choose from the smaller appetite section from the main menu. We also have a wide variety of our menu available to cater for children requiring Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Vegan meals.

Sunday Roasts
We love Sundays at The Bear Cross, because we get to treat our guests to our delicious freshly prepared Roast Dinners. Choose from a wide range of meats, each tailored with their own accompaniments, with the option to add extras like Cauliflower Cheese, Honey Roast Parsnips and Pigs in Blankets.
